Born and raised in Oregon, USA, looking to get out and explore. I'm a graduate of Oregon State University, where I studied Natural Resources and Environmental Geosciences. I love the outdoors and meeting new people. I'm currently working as a Park Ranger in New Mexico.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to CS but I'm excited to meet new people and see new places. I have a desire to start traveling more but funding can often get in the way of that. I would like to use CS not only to save a little money but to meet new and interesting people around the world. I feel that anyone can go to a new place a see all the big tourist attractions but what I really want to do is to see what life is really like for someone living in that city.

Interests

Hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing. Basically, I love being outside and exploring nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a single favorite movie but I do really like The Kings of Summer and The Book of Eli.

My music taste changes way to frequently but I've recently found myself listening to a lot of Radical Face, Said the Whale, City and Colour, Bad Books The Devil Makes Three and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Books I've recently read: My First Summer In The Sierra, Last Child In The Woods, The Things They Carried, 1984, The Last Season, The Road, White Noise.

My favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Black Mirror, and I'm sure many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent an amazing six weeks sea kayaking in Southeast Alaska.
