About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I don't know Mr Disney, seems to me that the world is an awfully big place after all.

ABOUT ME

I've always been a fan of roadtrips and traveling slowly.

PHILOSOPHY

I am finding more and more all the time that its best to retire first while I'm young and then I'll work on the career afterwards. Almost anything is or can be fascinating when the eyes are open.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done extensive surfing and advocating for others to do the same. Its been tough to live in a place where I am able to host. But there is a time and place for everything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always been a fan of couch surfing, traveling across the country to visit friends. I am a huge fan of the whole deal, to learn how to be more sincere and generous by surrounding myself by good examples.

Interests

I'm a bit of an architecture nerd, be it famous buildings by star-chitects or crumbing rust bucket ruins, I'll bike, hike, walk, or sit still. I'm a coffee addict and a fan of local craft breweries, specifically dark beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm mostly into non-fiction and documentaries. But I can occasionaly really get into novels and films. A general overview of the books, movies, music etc would include: Mellville, Manaugh, Pollan, Leo Marx, Roderick Nash, Koolhaas, Zumthor, H&dM, Anselm Kiefer. Wizard of Oz, Brazil, Baraka, Chinatown, mewithoutYou, Do Make Say Think, Radiohead, Tom Waits, Man Man, Godspeed, Louis Armstrong, Sacred Harp, Scott Joplin, Hank Williams, Panda Bear, Men Women and Children, and possibly some epic metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've never been much of a serious sports fan, but a few years ago I got the chance to live in Rome during the last World Cup which the Italians won. Incredible stuff.

Teach, Learn, Share

Grits taste best when you use at least half milk half water if not all milk, or even whipping cream. Also, its best to fry two slices of bacon on the skillet before the grits then pour the grease (you really don't want more than 2-3 pieces of bacon for this reason) into the grits while they simmer. As the grits get closer to done and the bacon has cooled a bit, crumble the bacon into the grits and enjoy!

Remember, real bacon is really good for you. You're ancestors spend a long time fine tuning those senses to desire whats best for us. Bacon is a pure ingredient that drives those smell/taste/sight guys wild. What could be better?
