About Me

Although I love my city (Duisburg) and I am usually locally rooted in my region, I'm always looking for something new: places, people, food, art, music - whatever seems interesting. Right now I'm working as a teacher in Borken, a small town in the Münsterland. But usually I'm back in Duisburg or Essen for the weekends and know a lot of places to see, even though I can't host anybody there. My apartment in Borken is huge though :)

I studied German studies and art in Essen and Helsinki, after that I went to Chongqing, China, for teaching. Next trip? Iran!

So far my profile looks a little poor since I never used my own account to couch surf. I did some surfing with friends on Malta, in Finland and Estonia, though.

I would say I'm a quite easy going and pleasant person... I really enjoy cooking for people btw ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm sick of hotels & hostels. Especially for my trip to Iran it would be a pleasure to stay at people's homes, to share views and opinions, to laugh and have a good time. I heard a lot about this country from friends and it would be a pity just looking at it as an outsider. Btw my next home is gonna be in Cologne (Germany) which is probably a little bit more interesting than the small town where I used to live for the last year and I'll be hosting people there as well :)
