Overview
About Me
My roommates say they could see me living in a commune and they're currently convinced I'm trying to start a hostel in our apartment. I really like the idea of intentional communities.
I owned a car briefly, so that I could drive back and forth to a summer farm internship, but promptly sold it when the season ended. this was the first car I had owned in over 10 years. I prefer biking and busing.
I love to cook extravagant meals but keep beans and rice in the fridge for convenience. I can’t remember the last time I ate something packaged and fast food doesn’t cross my mind as an option.
I am constantly looking to improve my surroundings both artistically and functionally. I encourage others to do similarly. I like to think of our place as blank canvas.
I dabble in photography, both 35mm and digital and am semi-pro at spooling film. I long for a dark room of my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to meet the people of the world. I believe in consciously connecting and like the idea of a barter society.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music. Fidlar, Radiohead, Yelawolf, Neutral Milk Hotel, Kendrick Lamar, Robyn, Jack White, Roe Family Singers, Manu Chao, Alt-J, The War on Drugs, Camera Obscura, The Black Keys, The Animals, John Talabot, Drake, Radical Face, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pink Floyd.
Books. Mostly informational these days. Botany, biology, nutrition, or social-issue related. I'm a full-time student. That said, the last fiction I read was "1Q84" by Haruki Murakami. I didn't find it too long as some people had.
Movies. Anything Wes Anderson. Heavenly Creatures, Annie Hall. Documentaries, comedies, animated.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I flew in a plane I jumped out of it. With a parachute, obviously.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga, breathing techniques, some meditation. Plant knowledge. Culinary know-how.
House plants on the mend? Let me help. Need an extra hand preparing for a dinner party? I'm your gal! Something aches? I have a toolbox full of stretches I'd love to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest, I am both tidy and conscientious of my presence. Additionally, I love to cook for others and will undoubtedly for you if you host me.
