ABOUT ME
2019:
After spending a few years focused on my studies/research and starting my master's in physics it's time for a short trip to the beautiful mountains of Slovenia!

2017:
I cycled to Armenia via a Black Sea crossing from Odessa to Poti, Georgia, also visited Turkey's tea region, and Ezerum again for the first time since 2012.

Over the past couple of years I've had some wonderful cycling adventures in the Balkans. Bosnia and Montenegro are two of the most beautiful countries I have visited in Europe and were wonderfully welcoming.

2012:
This year I cycled to western asia and back to north western europe. I love music of various genres, have studied philosophy, shall study physics and enjoy farming. That's not to mention photography, painting and poetry.
Usually I'm rather talkative, sarcastic, and find most peoples company a pleasure.
I had an amazing adventure having recorded in a studio in Budapest, have a nosy at my music, musings, and photography on www.fluxoflife.com

I cycle everywhere, there is a wonderful sense of freedom crossing borders and wild camping under your own steam.

PHILOSOPHY

Meaning comes from experience, knowledge and activity. Enrich your life by your experiences! Both mental and sensual.

Music and cycling nurtures my happiness.

Accept that the darker times in life are required to truly see and acknowledge beauty.

Life isn't necessarily good, wonderful or special, so when it is, it is to be appreciated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted as much as possible while I lived in Antwerp and hope to again while in Amsterdam.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I usually camp but I stayed in Krakow, Copenhagen and Stockholm with hosts. Truly wonderful people whos acquaintance was completely dependent upon couchsurfing.

Since I have couchsurfed in Istanbul, Cappadocia and Ezerum.

Interests

I play guitar and sing. I play a little piano, drums and sitar. I have a number of music projects that i'm working on in the UK.I love funk blues jazz rock, well most music.Thinking I'd also consider a past time and discussing things in depth. I'm seriously considering finishing my second degree in physics.Cycling and walking in the countryside are most appealing.I also love gardening, baking, cooking (especially asian cusines), photography, art, poetry, philosophy, animals/people, making anything i can (computers, furniture, bikes etc)...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ive had so many great experiences since I first surfed with wonderful people in 2010 in Sweden and Denmark. Since then Ive met some lovely people in Turkey and Georgia on my cycle trips.

When Ive had the space Ive also enjoyed hosting and cooking for my guests, especially when I lived in Antwerp.

Interests

Music, philosophy, physics, long distance cycling, photography; these are the interests I'm currently active in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical, especially the Russian romantics such as Rachmaninov.

I like playing classical guitar but also a lot of funk, blues, west african funk, soul, jazz, especially from the 60's and 70's but my taste is broader than this.

I like quite dark films, modern noir, something with an atmosphere, realistic endings and alike appeal most to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well this would be my own perspective of my own life, I'm not sure it is that insightful. Ive done alot of long distance cycling, music performance, and studying.

I cycled to Georgia from Belgium, took a boat over the black sea to the Ukraine and cycled back. Ive been up to the arctic circle with my bike. Both times I have been with my guitar, playing concerts and recording along the way. These are some of the most memorable things Ive done.

Teach, Learn, Share

To play the guitar, physics, philosophical concepts, cooking, repairing bikes, some mathematical and physics concepts.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom
