About Me
CURRENT MISSION
on the pursuit of contentment
ABOUT ME
enjoy exploring nooks and crannies, poking my way around the most far flung of places and discovering new things. i enjoy the now and want to immortalize that autumn breeze, summer warmth and chilly pricks of rain and drizzle on soaked skin.
PHILOSOPHY
years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i've lived in singapore and australia and reckon there are plenty of stories that could keep you entertained for a bit. also a good listener and always fascinated by stories, people and deep conversations.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i've had the pleasure of hosting, hanging out and partying with aussie, norwegian, swiss and french folks here. i'm also looking forward to being a guest myself, the whole aspect of couchsurfing is authentic and i've never had a bad experience here after several years. i want to see more, feel more, experience more.
Interests
i love to write. it's my passion. when i'm not working, i enjoy freelance writing and have been doing so for about 6 years now, and experienced so much in the process - interviewing a bikini-clad katy perry whilst submerged in a pool and overseas press junkets are two standout highlights i can think of. i am also a part-time film reviewer.
i like to try all sorts of new things. when i was 19, i wanted to run a marathon, the full 42.195km thing. without prior experience in long distance running, and against the better advice of friends and family urging a 10k/21k first, i jumped right into the deep end of the pool. i ended up completing it at a horrid 8 hours. the next year, i signed up again.
i also like reading, volunteering (mission trips and SPCA), playing the ukulele, backpacking, reading and more reading. i have a car and bike license and i also dig road trips too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
thrown into the thick jungles of brunei with 7 men under my charge whilst enlisted in the military (it's compulsory for all males of age in singapore), and handed the task of navigating our way out with an old school compass, paper map and markers within 3 days. an indelible memory that i will likely never forget
