About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see and learn about the environments, cultures, histories and peoples on the world

ABOUT ME

I've just finished 2 and a half years living and working in Beijing, China. Had an amazing few years but now its time to leave for a bit so I'm heading back to Wales via Japan, Taiwan & Singapore!

PHILOSOPHY

The pursuit of happiness should not come in the pursuit of things, but in the pursuit common and long lasting happiness. Our constant and increasing desire for material gains over is why our world continues to remain in this loop of boom and bust, war and corruption.
Also - "Don't look back or you'll be stuck there" is a quotation I like to live by. Dwelling on things is useless

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted since university because its not a big thing here in China, but I'm hoping to save a bit of money and pick up some good tips by couch surfing in Japan!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted 7 "strangers" now and have hosted some foreign friends who use the site as well. It's always great fun to host new people, to share stories and ideas. I'm still yet to Surf with any "strangers" but if it's anything like hosting, I'm sure I'll love it!

Interests

In to the humanities quite a bit! Very interested studying world history, culture, philosophy and politics in order

Music, Movies, and Books

Really into to anything punk related - from the early stuff to all its branches. Really into the Chinese punk scene at the moment and am wanting to discover more Asian music as I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The world occasionally throws out amazing days even during normal life but the MOST amazing thing I've done was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro for a childrens charity in Tanzania. It was tough but was the thing that made me most proud of myself, and the only experience I've had which I can truly say has given me euphoria.

Since then, living and working in China has been an amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to teach and be taught about the people's histories and cultures. Music, language and cuisine, for example.

Austria, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, Turks and Caicos Islands, Viet Nam
