About Me

Muhammad Ali once said, "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. " I am an INFJ person who is currently going to college for a Psychology degree. I plan on getting my Master's degree in Industrial Psychology and getting a job with management consulting somewhere.

I'm very open minded, non-judgmental and very caring. people tell me I have too big of a heart or that I'm a big puppy. I believe in shaking hands and looking people in the eye, I believe in saying "Yes sir, and Yes M'am", and I believe in writing thank you letters to those who have helped you. Doesn't mean I'm uptight, I would prefer to say "old-fashioned."

I am in Delta Upsilon Fraternity, a non-secret fraternal organization. I don't consider myself a "frat boy" but a "fraternity man." I'm from Texas, so I grew up with Southern tradition. I also consider myself religious.

If you'd like to know anything else about me, I'm an open book with nothing to hide! Please ask! I enjoy my inbox being filled up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love travelling and meeting new people! I have been travelling ever since I was a baby and my favorite part is getting to know the culture and the people that live, sleep and breathe it. There are so many fascinating differences around the world. The globe. was fully explored by the end of the 19th century, but the adventure of discovering the niches of another society is a whole new world waiting to happen. I want to meet hosts and be that amazing host that whenever you return to the country, either stop by or at least keep in touch with. Think of it as extended family.

Interests

Traveling is a given, but when I am not travelling, I enjoy watching movies, reading books, playing video games, listening to music, engaging in debate and fascinating talk with other people - Specifically I enjoy engaging my imagination, creativity, and being open-minded to new experiences and new ideas. Learning never gets tiring.

Books: Harry Potter, Redwall Series, Ted Dekker, Harry Turtledove. I enjoy informational books and DIY books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly I don't like to brag at all. I wouldn't consider anything I've done to be "Amazing."

Ill update this section when I have time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Got to figure out something awesome to teach! But I'll share anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook! I'm not too great.. but I enjoy it regardless :)

Going on a side note, there is a book that talks about love languages. The theory says that everyone has a certain preference for the way they like to be shown love. appreciation or friendship with another person, family, friends or hosts/travelers. There are 5 love languages: gifts, acts of service, physical touch, words of encouragement, and quality time.

I am more than willing to spend quality time with hosts and keep them company. I know that life can get lonely sometimes, and I want to be a friend for people, no matter what; a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen - anything that you need. I also am more than happy to provide acts of service to my host. I would be happy to do the laundry, take the rubbish out, you name it. As far as gifts go, I love bringing souvenirs or hearth gifts to my host family, just gotta know what you like!

Lastly, just talking! I love making friends with new people :)
