About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I have an extensive bucket list to tackle, so I'm working on that :)
ABOUT ME
I love to be outside, and also in the kitchen because I love food. I work hard play hard and have a sense of humor :)
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband and I are open to having someone (or two) stay on our pull out couch in the living room for a night or two. It's a little cozy as we live in a 850 sqft house with my sister and two dogs, but not bad and really pretty fun. The ideal occupant would need a place to stay while headed out to do some backpacking (or other activity) in the North Cascades or Canada or something. We are both pretty busy between working full time and adventuring when we're not working, so I can't guarantee we'll be able to spend a day showing you around. BUT with enough warning you could have a place to sleep AND a hot meal, and maybe even a ride somewhere depending on schedules. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not had any experience. Was recommended here by friends who have been backpacking. I was originally planning on a trip to South America and began hosting to pay it forward in advance. Life then happened and we put our efforts to moving to Alaska instead... And here we are! In Alaska having learned that we thoroughly enjoy hosting travelers.
Interests
Mountain biking (DH) (really most biking), hiking/backpacking, motor sports (dirtbikes and snowmobiles), flying, shooting, reading, travel, seeing beautiful sights, and my dog (Thor).

Music, Movies, and Books
I like rock and electronic, I love to read adventure stories and non-fiction, and I don't really watch a lot of TV.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I biked from Chiang Mai to Sukothai, Thailand on my first abroad experience. Getting to Chiang Mai, with a stop in Japan, with my bike, alone, for my first real international flights was quite an experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
I recently graduated college with a BS in Chemical and Biological Engineering, and work as an engineer. I'm constantly reading and learning new things; it's exciting to get to choose the subject now! People tell me they learn a lot from having conversation with me where I interject some of that knowledge, so what I can teach depends on what questions come up in conversation :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
First and foremost I'm a clean and respectful guest. I like to discuss ideas and adventures and am a decent cook.
