About Me
Hey,
I am Thorben, 27 years old and I study business administration at the university of Bremen, Germany.
Before studying at the university I finished my apprenticeship as a shipping broker and kept working for the shipping company "Harren and Partner" in Bremen as a Chartering Manager. After 3.5 years I decided to go to university to get some more theoretical knowledge before continuing my working-life.
I am very open minded, interested in other cultures, easy going and reliable. I'm into any kind of sports and also love to get to know new recipes that I can bring back to Germany.
I have already travelled many countries! When I was younger, I used to travel Europe with my parents and my two younger brothers. In the last couple of years I used my days off from university to just take my backpack and travel the world by myself. I became friends with so many interesting people and I'm looking forward to many more!
Right now I am doing a 6-months internship (August 2019 - February 2020) at Bosch in Anderson, South Carolina. Actually I have already been in the US back in 2009 for 1 year when I was in Colorado as an exchange student.
Since I am allowed to drive now, I want to use the opportunity to travel around whenever possible. And what better way to experience that than with cool locals?!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience the country first-hand with a local point of view, explore local insider spots rather than just doing the ordinary tourist stuff and hopefully creating international friendships
