Hey there :)
I´m Thore.
I was born and raised in Göttingen, a student-filled city in the middle of germany and moved to the beatiful city Hamburg in 2013 to live and study engineering .
I am currently a student at the technical university hamburg harburg and chose energy and enviromental engineering as my branch. Since i like math as well as nature, you could say i´m a hippie-nerd :D
I enjoy going outside and breathing fresh air, when i am not stuck at home studying for the next exam.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined Couchsurfing to meet new People from different Countries, show them that Germans can actually have a sense of humor and learn from them about their country :)
My studies and my financial situation do not really allow me to travel as often as i would like to, but after i traveled through europe for 4 weeks i learned that meeting other travelers can be almost as good as actually traveling.
So, i will be happy to host you, tell you things about germany, if you want to and talk to you about whatever you want.

Interessen

Besides actually enjoying doing a lot of the things i study, for example learning how different things work and calculating stuff, i like to spend my free time either outside or on the computer. Also i started learning to play the guitar in the beginning of 2015, so if you are a musician yourself, i would be happy to jam a bit with you :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

With music i dont really prefer any genre, i like to hear and learn about new music from other people and listen to that. My personal favourite music would probably be german hip-hop, not the typical "gangster" hip hop, we actually have some nice artists in germany that do really high quality hip hop with well written texts :)
My favourite movies are usually movies with smart main characters and/or twist endings, like Sherlock Holmes, the usual suspects, Oceans Eleven, Inside Man, that kind of stuff. But other than that i also enjoy most other movies, as long as they are well written and produced and the story is interesting.
At the moment i`m working myself through the entire series of discworld books by terry prattchett.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Slept for one week with two friends at a closed of beach in italy without a tent, doing more or less nothing else than eating good food, swimming around, lying in the sun and enjoying a good red wine in the evening around a self made fire from the wood lying around.
Traveling Europe for 4 weeks with a backpack and not planning ahead further than 2 days.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Since most of my skills involve numbers and calculating stuff, i doubt that most people would be interested in getting teached by me :) Otherwise i can of course try to teach you the german language or help you to improve your reasoning :)

I would love to meet someone who could help me learn to play the guitar properly or to speak italian, as long as the person is willing to sacrifice some of his/her time. Also i would enjoy to cook with my hoest/guest, to learn some new delicious recipes from your country :)

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I can share:
- My room, where you can have a comfortable place to sleep as wella s use my somputer, as long as i am not currently using it and you are not doing anything illegal with it :D
- The rest of the apartment, as long as you dont annoy the other people living here, you can use the kitchen, bathroom, washing machine etc.
- Most of all, my time! Well, some of it, depending on the date you are visiting.
