About Me

I’m a house flipped by profession, but I only really chose that path for the immense amount of free time that career provides. When I’m not making kitchens look amazing, I like to ride my bike or walk really, really far. In 2017 I pedaled my bicycle from Delaware to Oregon, completely solo. I thruhiked the entire Appalachian trail in 2019. I’m currently piecing together each coast on my bicycle. Out west all that’s left is the Washington coast, and in the east I’ve done Maine to NYC and Miami to Key West. Chipping away at those lines year by year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ill be 100% straight up. I love traveling and I hate paying the man. I'd much rather crash on a dingy couch with good people and conversation than in a cushy hotel room that I'd have to sell a kidney to afford. I prefer experiences > comfort.

Interests

I of course am very interested in computers and how they work, after all it will be my 9-5 at one point. I also have a few hobbies, and when I get into a hobby, I dive in head first.

I like to think that I am a good photographer, but I will always have something more to learn. I have played hockey and lacrosse my entire life. I love starting something up and watching it become profitable. I've attended 50+ music festivals (as a working photographer), but I don't do drugs.

I have lots of stories and I am always striving to gain more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh boy. I live for Harry Potter. Now, I know what youre thinking, "What a child". Well, you may be right, but I'll be damned if those books didnt make me who I am today. I also am a fan of the "For Dummies" series because learning new talents and skills is a ton of fun. My Side of the Mountain is also a FANTASTIC book.

I am all for films, but I would chose a comedy film over pretty much anything else.

Music, oh man my tastes are eclectic. In high school I was SUPER into the electronic music scene, but not that repetitive, all sounds the same stuff. I am a live music junkie and I will go to crazy ends to make sure that I can see the show. My favorite band of all time is LCD Soundsystem.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up going to a summer camp. I know that dosent sound like much, but it is truly my favorite place on earth and I would do anything to experience it as a camper again.

Well, last summer I was given the amazing chance to serve on staff. That has to be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing that I have ever done. It never got old seeing the kids have this huge smile on their faces. I think the best part was seeing the kids learn and have the same experience that I so treasure. I love that place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty talented, but not in things that are easily teachable without equipment.

I can ride a unicycle (pretty well, actually), I can tightrope walk (I'm related to the Wallendas), I like to think that I am proficient with music making software, I am trying to learn how to hacky sack well, among other things.

I have a degree in Camera Usage 101 from the University of YouTube

I'm all game for new experiences and new memories.
