At the moment I am a 39 years old man with a wife an two children.

I´m a Zen-monk in the tradition of soto-zen and practice since nealy 20 years. I like to show people the zen-practice of Zazen (sitting in meditation) in the way of shikantaza (only sitting) in my dojo. And that´s the place where you can stay here. I have 4 sleeping places, a own kitchen and bathroom etc. for your travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of coachsurfing since I heard the first time of it in the radio, because it´s interesting to meet people from all over the word and of course see new different places and meet open people.

I never forget my first couchsurfing in paris many years ago. It was so lovely and beautiful. On the first evening we go meet friends from the man I sleep on the coach and after it, we go to a dancebar. In the night he say: "Open your hands." and he gave me the key to his flat. I was very suprised an say: "Are you sure? You don´t know me." And he say: "I trust you." This was a very beautiful and deep feeling of trust for me. Next day I play guitar in the metro and earn money for the Eifelturm-lift, visit the museum of Darli and of course the Louvre. It was a wonderful time in paris. Thank you so much!

Interests

Oh, I`m very interested in religion and philosophy! But I also play guitar, paint pictures, meet friends or play chess! A few years ago I started to learn tai chi and in last summer I get the ordination of a zen-monk in France, on the zen-temple Gondronniere from my teacher Roland Yuno Rech.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies which are very opaquely! But at the end there must be a resolution... I like "vanilla sky", "dedales", "fightclub" an so on... I love rock- and guitarmusic! In the moment I like to read books like "Der Patient" from John Katzenbach!

I´ve been learning tai chi for 9 years (with breaks in between) and I learn to play the guitar (think it goes very well).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to share and show zen-meditation. Nearby we have a lake called "Aartal See". In summer it is a nice place to laying in the sun, go swimming or drive with the inlineskates around the lake (5 Km).
