To explore life and figure out how to be a grown up my way.

ABOUT ME
Currently I am trying to figure out what to do with my life. I have a Masters Degree in philosophy but I'm not sure if I want to get my PhD. Lately I've been trying to figure out how to get into the outdoor industry. My dream job would probably be as a Ranger at a national park.

PHILOSOPHY

Although I sometimes stress myself out and over-think things my philosophy is, pretty Daoist. I just believe that we shouldn't worry too much and things will work out. The only way things have not worked out is if you are dead but as long as you're alive you have a chance at anything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first surfed on a 6,000 mile road trip I took around the country. It was a great experience and I had a great time with all my hosts. During graduate school I was able to host a few awesome people. Now I'm back on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a great time surfing. I was one of those people who was skeptical; I don't usually trust people I don't know but every time I have surfed I have been welcomed and made to feel at home. I have discovered that the couchsurfing community is full of great people who just want to help out and broaden their experiences and those are some of the best goals a person can have.

Interessen

Right now my main interest is rock climbing. I've been living in a tent and climbing for the past month. I also like other outdoor activities like hiking and fishing.

When I'm in civilization, I admit I play quite a few video games. Mostly PC games but also a little casual gaming on the xbox. I play Dungeons & Dragons when I can find people to play with me too so I guess I'm a nerd. I also like sports. My favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys for football and the Atlanta Braves for baseball, my favorite college team is the Florida State Seminoles. I'm into art and music and while I can't draw or paint to save my life I'm a decent singer and guitar player. Along with this goes an interest in movies. Most of the time if my friends and I get together it's to watch movies and hang out.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've been on four of the seven continents. I only lack Australia, Antarctica, and Africa. Nature is one of the most awe inspiring things to me. Yosemite Valley is awesome but I am also a big fan of high desert wilderness. I've done a lot of solo road trips where I just camped out enjoying nature the whole time.
