About Me

My girlfriend, Ellen, and I are both experienced travelers and couchsurfers and have just moved in together in a cute little place on the west side of Los Angeles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's hard not to preach to the choir here, but I've never had anything but positive experiences with couchsurfing (though I am pretty new!). Furthermore, it just shows the power of conversation. So many people crave conversation and couchsurfing is a way to truly expand your horizons at the cost of a few words and thoughts shared.
Please read each host's profile and offer your host something in return. It gets really, really old reading the same messages spammed to every host. Cook a meal, bring a momento, or be even more creative!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed across the USA and France already and am always looking to do more. I've finally got a place of my own to start hosting and its definitely a great experience so far.

Interests

I'm a reader, writer, active outdoors person. There's been a lot of rock climbing, sailing, and cycling in my life lately.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll read just about any book you set in front of me. I'll listen to just about any music you turn on near me. You'll probably have to strap me down to watch a movie if there's something else going on. I do love crappy old action movies though. Starship Troopers, Conan the Barbarian, Kung Fu Hustle are all beasts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bicycled around Taiwan, there were many amazing parts of the trip, but I highly recommend visiting Taiwan!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook for hosts and surfers, but even better is cooking a meal together and inviting friends over to enjoy it all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a shining personality and a ton of interest in just about everything. One of my favorite little things to do for hosts is to wash the dishes, it's a quick and easy way to show that I'm interested in helping out and giving back. Every host gets a gift as well, it could be anything, but the sharing economy is a two-way street!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
