I am a massage therapist, taking a break from work to travel and live abroad (currently Japan). I plan to go to Australia when my year here is up, but willing to stay in Japan if the opportunity arises.

I try to live as simply as possible and try to enjoy/accept what is happening to me now, rather than live in the past or wish for a better future. After having recently faced my most difficult challenge I have a new outlook on life, where I try to be more laid back and have more patience and understanding for people. A little negativity is okay, but I try to remain positive for the majority of situations.

Showing compassion for people, animals and the world around us is important. I try to be self aware of the resources I use and try to use as little as possible and reuse things.

I am living and working in Japan for a year. I want to meet people for language exchange and hanging out; we can go for food, or nights out with drinks with friends and colleagues. I want to make long-term friendships with people if possible.

I am learning Japanese at the moment, so if you could help me with this then I can also help you with English.

I am vegetarian, so if you could help me to order meat-free dishes and help with learning words in Japanese for vegetarian food (as this is my priority). I will not judge your eating habits and will respect your dietary choices.

Activities I would like to do; yoga classes, salsa dance classes (or nights where you can just dance at your own pace), pole dancing lessons, any fitness or martial arts classes, going to live shows, a few drinks with colleagues or friends, kareoke, watching films at the cinema or at home, eating vegetarian food or learning to cook Japanese food, help with some shopping, playing guitar and/or drums, Japanese language practice, riding bikes, any fun/unusual/traditional Japanese activities, creative/art activities.

I listen to a lot of music, my favourite styles at the moment are Jazz & psychedelia. I also enjoy watching live shows, my favourite bands to watch are called King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard & Pond.
