Age is just a number. The main thing is how young you feel inside your heart & soul! ...my ID tells me I'm over 30, but there's still my inner child, which is always ready for some silliness! :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In summer 2012 I did couchsurfing for the first time while I was travelling in Australia and USA. Back in Germany I started to host for a while.

I see CS as a great chance to meet people from all over the world! I'd like to spend some time with my couchsurfers and get to know them. I'd also love to show them around if I have the time and don't work too much!
I don't like the idea of couchsurfing as a free accommodation option with coming & going without sharing anything. I like the idea of a world wide exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I already mentioned, in summer 2012 I did couchsurfing for the first time! I had two great hosts in Sydney & San Fransisco and I also met few CSers. All in all I experienced good things only and I really had a good time with CS!

Afterwards it was my turn to give something back and I had a great time as host.

Since summer 2016 I'm a mum of two little girls, which makes it impossible to host nowadays but I'm happy to show people around.

I've never been to a CS meeting. Well, I'm not sure, if I ever will. I feel more comfortable with a single person than a whole groupe. I'm shy and very quite with more people, so that it doesn't make sense for me to join a CS meeting!

Interests

Don't dream your life, but live your dreams! And so I do!
I'm a make-up-artist, which has been my dream job since school time. It makes me quite busy, but I love doing it! The most interesting is meeting all the different people from all over the world and creating the character for their role on stage. It's amazing, how to change people's look.

At the moment I'm in motherhood.

If I find time, I enjoy yoga & sauna. I also like hanging around with my friends or gaming on my PS3 - umm, I've to admit that I'm a little addictive to it! :P
All in all I'm not really a "party girl"! I prefer spending a cosy evening with a drink & a chat either at home or in a pub to visiting one disco after another.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book is "The Little Prince" from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I really like its messages such as "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye!"

I like a lot of different kinds of music. It depends on my mood, which kind I listen to: Pop and Rock but also "easy listening" music, just instrumental music or just a cappela.

I like the movies made by Hayao Miyazaki. Even if they are more for children, these stories are also profound with special messages.
But I also like watching Thriller & Horror. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm always fascinated by everything, which is completely different to my home country. For instance seeing the different kinds of Great Buddha's in Japan and Thailand, going for a swim & snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef or enjoying a quad bike tour through the dessert of Fuerteventura (the Canary Islands).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd definitely like to share a good time and as many laughs as possible!!! Then maybe some local music from our countries or maybe to practise some yoga!
All in all I'm inquisitive and open-minded for a lot of things: culture, cooking, outdoor activities. There are so many things, which easily catch my interest!
And if you're interested in theatre I could tell you a lot about it and also show you around "behind the stage" or watching a performance, when we meet in my city! I could give you a special professional make-up for a new profile picture, haha, or a new haircut, if you've been travelling a long time without seeing a hairdresser! ;)
