ABOUT ME

Hey! I recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Spanish. Right now I'm teaching English in Spain for a year or two, then who knows what?
Right now I'm in Calahorra, La Rioja, so if you're ever in the area and want to meet up for a drink or something, let me know for sure!

I try not to let myself get stressed out too much, because everything always works out in the end.

Interests

languages, traveling, singing, reading, friends, family, wine, fun, life!

I am pretty passionate about human rights and quality of life (for everyone!!!), want to do what I can to help, volunteer, maybe do Peace Corps soon. I'm looking into that now. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I want to go hiking...in Spain again, at least, maybe in Scotland or Ireland or wherever. Who wants to come with? :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of unique or independent movies: Once, The Color of Paradise, Rory O'Shea Was Here, The Darjeeling Limited, Smoke Signals (love Native American type films), that sort of thing.

I'm in love with music. I'm a singer and now I'm learning to play guitar.
Right now my favorites are Patty Griffin, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams, Glen Hansard, Ben Harper, Regina Spektor, Joshua Radin, Ingrid Michaelson, Damien Rice, James Morrison, Brett Dennen, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and so on...

Love to read, especially fantasy/fiction. I'm reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy now, finally!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably my best experience was when I walked part of the Camino de Santiago (in Galicia, northern Spain) with 3 of my good friends. It was such an amazing experience, and nothing like anything I've ever done before. I must admit, I was a bit nervous before starting, but it's probably the best thing I've ever done. Hurt like hell most of the time, but I loved every minute of it! Can't wait to go and walk the whole thing.
