ABOUT ME

I am a perpetual traveler. Why stay in one place when there is so much to explore? In the past few years I have lived in Peru, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Alaska, and the Virgin Islands. Now my boyfriend and I are taking a job on a yacht that is sailing around the world. Some day I'd like to settle down and start a B&B or cafe, or spend my time tending a garden and grow all of my own food, make my own cheese, yogurt, kombucha, ect.

Any day that I have off I like to go explore, whether by hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, kayaking, scuba diving... anything goes.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is the change and exchange of energy. If you can harness that energy, you can do anything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm involved in couchsurfing because I'm interested in hearing people's travel stories and meeting other people with travel lust. I'm always willing to help out a fellow traveler (or anybody, for that matter) however I have hosted many people who have crossed my path by chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some AWESOME people through couchsurfing. Last fall a friend and I roadtripped across the U.S. and had a blast meeting other couchsurfers. David in Nevada took the cake, though, when he successfully lit his jack-o-lanterns by starting a fire with tinder and magnesium in his living room. Highly entertaining.

兴趣

I'm interested in learning how to be self-sustaining, including growing/hunting my own food and building a efficient house from recycled materials.
I'm also interested in traveling; seeing other cultures, learning other languages, experiencing things that are completely different.
And physics, because some aspects of physics are absolutely wild.

Music: lots, especially if it's danceable

Movies: Slumdog Millionaire, Get him to the Greek, Luck number Sleven, Reservoir Dogs, Sin City, Bookdock Staints, American Beauty, Amores Perros, Spirited Away, Samuri X, Ong-bak, Harold and Maud, Princess Bride...

Books: lots. Dune, His Dark Materials trilogy, Withering Heights, Alice in Wonderland, Calvin and Hobbes (all-time favorite!), Moby Dick... good book suggestions are always appreciated, it's hard to find good ones randomly.

I have kayaked with a humpback whale and her baby, and I have roasted marshmallows on a lava flow at the break of dawn.
And I've been on MTV, though I missed the show because I lived in a town that didn't have cable. Friends told me it was good.

教，学，和分享

I love to cook, and have turned that into a career by becoming a chef on private yachts. Whenever I am a guest in someone else's house I cook great meals for the whole household.
