I'm eager to see everything the world has to offer. I love meeting new people and learning new languages and cultures. English is my first language and I'm nearly fluent in Spanish. I have aspirations of learning French next.

I've lived in Spain, Argentina, and Australia and have traveled all over. I've been living and working in Chicago for the last three years but at the start of 2018 I will be starting a new adventure backpacking around Southeast Asia by myself! Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've mainly used CS to meet up with locals and fellow backpackers for drinks or to explore cities. However my next trip I'm planning on using CS much more.

I'm planning a 6 month solo backpacking trip through Southeast Asia. I'll be flying into Tokyo to spend New Years Eve 2018, will head to Hong Kong shortly after that and then will fly into Phuket to kick off my Thailand tour.

Interests

Huge fan of different cultures and languages. Love sight-seeing and thrill seeking. Not too crazy about museums...though there are exceptions to this. Night clubs are fun from time to time but I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall bar kinda girl where you can really get to know locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think Latin music is the best dance music. I really like rock and roll, acoustic styles..though I'm terrible at pin-pointing genres.

I read a ridiculous amount of 18-19th century Spanish literature. Usually not my cup of tea. I enjoy writing, I keep a blog with my travels but I am often terrible at updating it on a timely basis. You're welcome to check it out!

I'm happy to help you learn English where I can, but even though I'm a native speaker I don't think I'm a particularly good teacher in any formal capacity (I just don't seem to have the talent for it). However, if you need professional/academic papers and documents proofread for grammar and English accuracy I'm your girl!

I'm also a good cook so I'm more than happy to cook for you if you host me!
