About Me

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I don't host often, please read over my profile before requesting +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

CURRENT MISSION Balance between working and traveling, expanding my horizon, try new things and meeting people as i go.

ABOUT ME It's hard to describe myself in a few words or sentences. I like it when others describe me rather than me describing myself. I would consider myself open-minded, easy-going, and adventurous chic. Whenever I get a chance to trade in the comfort of my home for a backpack, I'll take it and go! I love and am always seeking for new adventures and excitement, whether its locally or internationally! I like to challenge myself by trying new things (at least try it once) and seeking the off beaten, non conventional perspectives of life and ways to travel....so don't let my looks deceive you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Surfing, meeting people, road trips, travel partners, tour guides, etc. I think the couchsurfing idea/community is so unique in many ways. Its such a simple idea but forms a complex community worldwide. I will never travel the same again! COUCHSURFING

EXPERIENCE I've had many wonderful experiences through Couchsurfing. I've meet so many people all over the world through here and made so many lifelong memories. I enjoyed all of the people I've meet through here and can call some of them my friends.

Interests

Traveling, it's something that I will continue doing for the rest of my life. I also like meeting people, immerse myself in other culture, eating food of all ethnicity and trying new things. I love food! I've always wanted to be a guest taster for a cooking contest just to sample all the amazing food out there, lol....it hasn't happen yet but hopefully will one day. As part of my travel, I try to taste as much of the country's signature dishes as I can even if it means trying something I'm not familiar with or strange! Although I'm no chef, I do enjoy cooking and being inspired to try new recipes. I also enjoy biking, hiking, kayaking and all outdoor activities. I don't mind getting dirty or not showering for a few days to go camping. Learning from others and gaining new insights.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite books are Jane Eyre, The Scarlett Letter, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, bad blood..... I enjoy all kind of music except for rap... I'm a huge fan of Disney, Pixar, romantic comedy, action/ adventure, and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its hard to single out one amazing thing that I've experienced. I've been quite fortunate to experience a lot. I would say ride-sharing my way down the East coast of Australia. Some may say its risky for a lady to get in a car with random strangers, true, but it was an amazing experience! I generally see the good in people until they've prove otherwise. Its very similar to cs-ing, you don't really know who you will stay with until you actually meet them. But so far, I've had good experiences with both communities. I've met and made friends with many people along the way and I would do it again without a doubt! I also I saw many beautiful and amazing sunsets in the middle of the oceans (when I lived on a ship for 4 months sailing around the world from the US to Asia, Africa, and Europe). I Iived in the jungle of Myanmar among local villagers and their elephants. We had no running water or electricity and all the food were gathered from their local farms and livestocks. It was a very primeval living experience but it made me appreciate the little things in life so much more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what I can teach but I'm willing to share what I know with others.
