Hey! I’m Thu Ha. I was born in a small village in Bavaria (Germany) and I have Vietnamese roots. During my studies, I lived in Sevilla (Spain) and I have to admit that I instantly fell in love with Spain, I actually go there quite often. I am also a huuuuuuge fan of Latin America (I’ve visited Colombia and Mexico). My favorite city in Germany is by far Berlin, where I also lived a couple of years due to my master’s. I would love to hang out with locals and have an authentic experience, learning about the traditions, costumes and have an insight into the local culture. I’m an open-minded, curious and active person which means that I’m always up for any activites, sports, cultural trips or short trips.

My all-time favorite song might be Riptide by Vance Joy, it gives me some kind of nostalgia. But I almost listen to any music genre. I love Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and latino music. Depending on my mood I also enjoy listening to singer and songwriters, Indie Rock/Pop. Since I lived in Berlin for a couple of years, I also got introduced to Electro & Techno. I’ve got a quite broad & divers music taste I’d say. As a girl with Asian roots, I’m quite proud of the award-winning movie „Anything everything all at once“. My favorite book is „The immortalists“ by Chloe Benjamin. This book is about different life realities and inspiring you to choose the life you want for yourself. I like philosophizing about life, thinking about what really matters, being grateful for what I have. What is happiness for you?

That 4-day hike in the Austrian Mountains with friends of mine. My solo-trips both to Mexico and Colombia. I met a Colombian family while camping at the beach in Parque Tayrona (Colombia), we really bonded that’s why they invited me to their house and I spent 2 days with them. In general traveling alone and creating all these special moments and memories.

I love languages! I could teach you some German or Vietnamese if you’re interested. I also learned French, Spanish, and some Russian in school. (My parents have a Vietnamese restaurant, so I could also teach you some basic Vietnamese dishes.)

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Funny traveling stories since I’m a very clumsy person. I swear, traveling with me is never boring. We can talk about life, about anything and nothing. I also loooove cooking and trying new recipes. We could cook together and let’s go eating out. I’m such a Foodie, I’m obsessed with food and I’d try anything! I also have this weird habit that I could never order the same dish at the same restaurant twice because I always want to try something different.
