Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Dancing with others and developing new woodworking skills.
ABOUT ME
You can track me by my guffaw. (yes, I have a very loud abrupt laugh that echoes for a radius of about 100ft)
At least that is what I am told every single day.
I am an educator and woodworker, currently based at a crafts school in northeastern Minnesota, called North House Folk School.
I speak Japanese fluently and can speak very basic Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and French.
PHILOSOPHY
Curiosity is life.
-found it inside a fortune cookie.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people when I'm living in one place, and going to CS gatherings in different communities!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In college I went on a road trip and we couchsurfed the whole way. From San Diego to Memphis we had an incredible array of hosts and many many many wonderful and interesting experiences. People were so generous--it really blew me away. I realized that this needed to be part of my life, so here I am.
Interests
I love dancing, woodworking, organizing dance nights, cooking for others, wood turning, Scandinavian and Japanese woodworking and design, cross country skiing, canoeing in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, and staying in touch with old friends.
