ABOUT ME

Episode IV: A New Hope

It is a period of financial unrest. The governments of the world have allowed banks and businesses and the stock market to nearly destroy our home planet. However, along comes a hero. . . sort of. He is French and he cannot cook. But, ok, well.. he can speak English, that's about it.

While most French children spend time with their mommy learning how to cook, I was busy playing with my wood. When I was all growed up, I moved to England to learn to speak English. Yes, I spoke French and was hoping to find people there to teach me this wonderful language of the world. My first apartment was filled with 12 other people that spoke French! Can you believe it? I moved to the fucking UK to learn English and all I got was a bunch of Frenchies. After a while, I moved elsewhere in hopes of learning more than "hello," "goodbye," and "where is the toilet." So, I found a French guy living on a boat. Great, no help there. BUT, it was a blast. (See pic of me on the boat not learning to speak English).

Anyway, I learned some words and decided to try them out in America: Land of the free, home of the Saints! I ventured to New Orleans last year because, well, I like to eat and I can't cook worth shit. Amazingly enough, I found a job where I can play with wood all day. So, off I went to get my very special visa. (Strange, I had to leave the country to get permission to come back and stay longer. Why couldn't I stay here and do all that?) Anyway, I'm back, living in New Orleans, in a house full of gays (I'm straight). They don't even have cats here. How crazy is that?

From time to time, the big gay guy (he likes to eat) shows me how to cook some really great food. The thing is, I don't really pay attention, and since he likes to eat, I know he'll cook it again. Today, he bought ice cream. Tomorrow, he will need to buy more.

PHILOSOPHY

Who possesses another language, possesses another soul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted once on my boat where I lived in Oxford and have been guest on several couches and I'm very thankful for this organization. Right now, it is not possible for me to host people, but once I get my own apartment or studio... I will be more than happy to offer my guests, the same wonderful things that I have been offered when I was abroad.

Interests

Biking, making plans, deviating from plans, working with my hands, staying calm when things don't go as planned, getting lost, finding my way, dinosaur, swimming, eating appel (it so good to eat an appel !!!), laugh, meet new people and the most important one, get to know you !!! Ahahaha
