Overview
About Me
I'm a worrywart with a simultaneous thirst for adventure - quite a juxtaposition, I know. I recently graduated college, and I'm searching for jobs and my purpose. One day I'd really love to go for Naturopathic Medicine, but like the terribly sensible person that I am, I want to pay off my previous loans first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a recent graduate! I cannot afford hotels and the like. Plus, I really enjoy the idea of meeting people local to an area. You get a much better feel for the culture of an area.
Interests
I really enjoy yoga, cooking, video games, and learning. I've been known to sit on YouTube for 10 hours straight, just learning about some skill that I've taken an interest in. It's actually where I fostered my love of yoga; I uncovered some yoga flows done by Tara Stiles and I've been practicing regularly since then.
Ironically I actually only began to enjoy cooking when I was making vegetarian and vegan dishes - something that many people perceive to be disgusting. I think I enjoyed the challenge of making something really tasty and healthy at the same time. Plus, I think it's more rewarding to make something delicious that won't clog your arteries!
As for video games... I usually like things that are very plot intensive. Essentially..... anything done by Bioware. I love the Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age (Origins, II, and Inquisition), Skyrim, Civ V, and so on.
Oh, I also really enjoy art and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
Well, my musical taste really depends on my mood. More often than not I prefer music like Gregory Alan Isakov, Hozier, or any other instrumental songs that have a softness to them. However, I do enjoy songs from nearly every genre... for example, I actually really like FKA Twigs.
My favorite movie of the moment is Guardians of the Galaxy, although I feel like I have a new favorite movie every few months.
My favorite and most-read book is Dancing with Siva: Hinduism's Contemporary Catechism. Beyond that, I also enjoyed The China Study.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I free climbed a local waterfall that is approximately 70ft. I had the assistance of a friend who had done it before, but it was by far the most terrifying experience of my entire life. At one point all we could hold onto was tree roots, and I thought for sure I was a goner.
