Hello! I am Tia, from China and now living in Rome. I used to be an Erasmus student, studying at a few different universities in Belgium, Italy, Slovakia and South Africa.

I work for rural development, because my dream in high school was to become a sheep farmer! Still on my way now ;)

I love remote places like mountains and forests, and am a big fan of all kinds of outdoor activities and nature, like farming, hiking, camping, etc. I used to hike and camp every weekend in the mountains when working in China. Things have became different since I moved to Europe, and now sometimes I do longer hiking routes like Tour du Mont Blanc and Laugavegur.

I am a explorer. I lived in 8 countries and visited 30+, and really look forward to more! The moments of seeing something new, meeting different people, having conversations, and even missing each other afterwards (but still too shy to send a message usually), are really valuable for me.

Recently I found myself more addicted to CouchSurfing. It often opens a new world for me, like stepping into a parallel universe and witnessing a life that otherwise I would never have known. CouchSurfing is my "Tardis". Where is it taking me to next?
