I'm a 20-year-old student living in Turku for 2 years now. I've been a bit too busy to host anyone lately because I want to able to spend time with my guests and show them what Turku has to offer. I hope I have a chance for that soon but at the moment I can't accept any guests. If you're looking for some local tips and someone to grab a beer with, I'm still available for that!

It's hard to describe myself since I appear to be very different in other people's eyes than in my own. So to use their words I'm calm and stress free, incredibly lazy yet I achieve things without doing much and I have an offensive sense of humour. I talk fast and way too much but my voice hardly ever gets too loud. I'm kind and usually polite but kind of an asshole when you get to know me even though I think people are the best thing in this world. I'm brave and sometimes a bit too honest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer to travel solo but the company of others and meeting new people is what keeps me going so this concept is perfect for me. Besides this, I'm looking for adventures of all kinds and I guess couchsurfing is the best way to make it happen. Meeting locals gives me a chance to see the place I'm visiting from a different point of view and makes my travel experience way more unique than a regular touristy vacation.

After spending one summer interrailing and couchsurfing as much as I can, I wish to share this with others. Couchsurfing made my already great trip absolutely amazing and I want people who visit my city to get the same experience.

Interests

Seeing the world, science, the space, nature, weird or cute animals and pretty flowers. Modern art, museums, photography and drawing. Adventures, the more adrenaline the better. Nerdy stuff, video games, comic books and sci-fi, programming. And everything from culture to politics, meeting new people, partying, drinking craft beer and having fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love sci-fi and superheroes, comic books are really close to my heart. I have an undying love for DC. I also highly enjoy movies of this kind.

Apart from the world of superheroes, Christopher Nolan and especially Interstellar is something I adore. Kingsman and the Great Gatsby also deserve to be mentioned. When it comes to TV shows my favourites are Game of Thrones, Shameless and Gotham.

I listen to almost everything. I used to only like rock music and I still got a weak spot for that but all in all I'm able to enjoy pretty much anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time travelling alone was 45 days of interrailing and couchsurfing all around Europe. Also skydiving was pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess there's a million different ways to understand this and answer to this but here we go:

Sometimes I only find one way to say one thing which is why I'm not the best possible teacher. Sometimes I repeat the same thing multiple times but say it in a different way each time which is why I'm also not the best storyteller. Yet I have a lot of interesting experiences to share so I will still try my best.

I'm also a good listener and most certainly want to hear what you have to say and I definitely wish to learn from you in case there's something you want to teach.
