I try to be always in a good mood. I love to have a good conversation, to play music, to be involved with art, to meet simple people...
I enjoy sports and hiking too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted many people, but attended not many meetings!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted many people in Florianópolis and one musician when I lived in Maringá.
In 2008 me and 5 brazillian trip friends met many CSers in Costa Rica and that was really great! We played samba, some guys juggled with fire... so sad our time was short but it's so amazing to have a good time with people you just met.

Interests

Music, arts in general (mixed forms of art, use of technology too...), science, culture, folklore, special places.
A good place to have a drink or coffee, good conversations... or places with nice music!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Los Ríos Profundos; I, Robot; Gödel, Escher, Bach...
Movies: Mindwalk, O Auto da Compadecida, Contact, Stalker (Tarkovsky), Monty Python stuff...
Love (and play and compose =)) brazilian music, intensely! Love latin-american music too - a fan of Chango Farías Gomez! Some rock bands: Queen, Beatles, Led Zep, Supertramp, Deep Purple... and I'm in love with Debussy's Prelude to the afternoon for a Faune =).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week with farmers (I made this in three or four different ocasions, in different years, through a christian community I participated, long ago) and entered in contact with a completely different, hard and beautiful world. Living with them not as a guest, but as part of the family made me understand a lot of things about our society, education, culture, discrimination, economical and all sort of difficulties... and made me question so many things, even until today.

These were profound experiences. There were many others - in many other categories ;)

2009: Pacaya Volcano, in Guatemala, at an astonishing dawn and with a full moon at the other side. Then, we reach a lava river. No words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach portuguese, spanish (my mom is from Uruguay), music (I am a composer and play mainly guitar, but can teach the basics on cavaquinho, arrangement, computational music, theoretical stuff...), physics, programming... I love to share my experience and materials on (mainly) brazilian music and creative computing and talk about art. Maybe I love cheap talk...

I love to know other cultures, even from Brazil. Learn different musics, dances, languages, points of view... even technical subjects - why not?

Countries I’ve Visited
