Hey there friend! ✌🏻

So let me introduce myself. I’m Tiago, a 26 years old portuguese journalist that loves to write, photograph, film and travel.

At the moment I live and work in Porto, Portugal, in a national newspaper named Jornal de Notícias. I love what I do and every good story deserves to be told, so I’m a storyteller and a dream seeker.

My dream is to travel the world and write a book about it. I want to know people from all the places and the most different countries in the world. So this is basically what I’m doing here on Couchsurfing, hosting and/or visiting other people’s homes to get to know the most different and special personalities and learn from them. Maybe I have something to teach also, at least I can cook. And maybe I could even write your story once I got to meet you. Maybe you’ll be in my book!

So this is pretty much it. The rest about me you’ll just have to find out. I like to think myself as a mysterious person. As I like to discover others stories , I also like to keep mine for others to discover.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

As I said, I want to travel the world and write a book about it. And I want to meet the most people I can, so I will be glad to host you or to visit your place, so we can share our experiences together.

Intereses

My main interests in the world right now are two specific missions: help all the animals that are suffering and dying for the behalf of mankind and to help the planet by saving it from the destruction we are creating with the global warming. We can all help, so let’s make the difference and make this planet a good and enjoyable place to everyone, people, animals and nature.

I hope to be a father someday , and after that a grandfather, so my responsibility is to leave this world as a better place than the one that I found when I first got here.

Música, películas y libros

Music: Rock, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classic. I can listen to pretty much everything. I’m a big fan of American hip hop and my biggest reference is Eminem.

Movies: the classics, such as The Godfather trilogy, Seven, Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, every single Tarantino movie, every single movie with Daniel Day-Lewis, and every single movie of Star Wars. I’m actually really geek, so I’m also a fan of Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit and Harry Potter.

Books: I’m addicted to fantasy books. I loved George RR Martin “A Song if Ice and Fire” saga so far. And I like history books or real/fiction romances. There’s also a enormous quality of Portuguese literature that I’m still discovering. José Saramago and Fernando Pessoa are just two examples of that.

I could do a handstand push-up. That’s the most crazy thing I did... I’ll tell you why once we get to know each other.

I can share what I know, what I love and what I believe in. And you can share with me what you know, what you love and what you believe in. We will be two better persons after that, I’m sure.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

First of all, I can teach you the beautiful language that is portuguese. It’s not easy, that’s a fact, but once you get to learn it, you’ll fall in love with it. And we can teach each other, because I love to learn new languages.

I also can share my cooking skills. I’m actually a vegetarian, so I may be limited on what to cook, but still, I think I can do good food 👌

Besides that, I can share my mind, and that’s something extraordinary, I mean, sharing thoughts and beliefs, I would love if you could share your mind with me too.
