About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world before we have kids or jobs we like...
ABOUT ME
Juan and I met through a mutual friend on a weekend trip to Berlin while we were both living in London. We ended up moving to Australia for work in 2008. Among the many interests we share, one of them is a love of travel. So in a bold move, we quit our jobs and embarked on a belated gap year. The goal is to see as many places as we can in the next year (or until the money we budgeted runs out).
PHILOSOPHY
Every day you live is one you'll look back on someday. Yeah, maybe it will blur against the backdrop of so many similar ones, but we hope that we can try to make each one worth remembering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're currently hoping to surf but as soon as we have someplace permanent we'll definitely host as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've had the absolutely best experiences with couchsurfing. Everyone we've met has been kind, interesting and willing to share authentic local experiences with us.
Interests
We're into all kinds of food, which is great for traveling! And we definitely appreciate a good bottle of wine to accompany. We have a growing love for theatre. Juan is into visual arts, used to paint a lot, and loves to cook. Tia enjoys all types of dance, classical music (she's played the piano for 25 years) and enjoys all kung fu movies, even bad ones.
