About Me
Hello everyone,
i'm new to couch surfing but not so new to traveling.
I just graduated this past May with a degree in Psychology. A couple years ago, I decided to study abroad in Newcastle, England. I love the people up North. My experiences in the UK were lovely. I keep returning to England to visit friends. I decided this was where I wanted to live for a bit.. with no more school holding me back, I am free to decide my next adventure.
I was offered a teaching position right outside of London. I will be mentoring and working with special needs children and adults on a daily basis. I am beyond excited I found an organization willing to sponsor me for some time.. Finding an opportunity that will allow to me live in the UK as a US citizen was not an easy one, unless of course I was going back for more schooling.
My visa allows me to live in the UK for one full year, I plan renewing it and hopefully finding more opportunities that will allow me to do this. I plan on traveling and seeing a lot more while I'm here. Living abroad allowed me to become more open minded, and mature. It helped me grow into the person I am.
I am on couch surfer to find like minded people, or even people who have different interests. I love staying productive, exploring a new city, trying new food, listening to music, giving back to the community, attending events, going to the bar, and taking photos!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a recent college grad with just my savings, I am looking to explore and travel on a budget. My goal is to meet other people who enjoy the company of someone new and making new friends.
Couch surfing will allow me to meet more people and I want to host when I return back to the states (New York City). I am hoping to meet people who are already familiar with where I'll be staying. Although I find Air b&b's, hostels, and hotels wonderful, I would like to try something new. For the past 3 years I have done loads of traveling within the states and Europe. I feel confident to try something different such as couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Hair Spray, She's The Man, Law Abiding Citizen, Focus, Orphan, Think Like A Man, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Sisterhood of the traveling pants, Equalizer, Interstellar, Wolf of Wall Street, White Chicks, We Are Marshall, Dazed and Confused, I love you Man, etc.
Some of my favorite books include Catcher in the rye, The Great Gatsby, The color purple, etc.
(I also need to get into the habit of reading more books but I love a good mystery)
Music: I could sit here all day and talk about some of my favorite musicians and artists. From a young age, I've always loved singing, dancing, being a part of something that required music like musical plays. There is almost no limit to what I like with music but some of my favorite artists are, Jorja Smith, MAX, The Neighbourhood, Jess Glynn, Chance the rapper, Miguel, Zara Larson, JP Cooper, Rita Ora, Anderson Paak, Jcole, Drake, Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, Galantis, Fleetwood Mac, Silk City, Lost Kings, Childish Gambino, Joji, LION BABE, Adele, Paramore, Harrison Brome, etc etc etc. The list will forever go on.
