I just moved to Jena Germany in May 2015 and am still finishing my masters in environmental engineering from Utah State University. I moved here with my partner Jake who is pursuing his PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry. We moved from a 4 bedroom house with a fenced backyard and a big garden to a small 1 bedroom apartment with our two smelly mutts.

We love to travel and meet new people while at the same time are poor students.

Interests

We love to do all types of outdoor activities including biking, running, hiking, cross country skiing, snowboarding, fishing and love to try new things. I also love to play soccer/fußball and have played my whole life. I love to try new things, in college I tried out rugby, hockey, and the local dart league.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like a wide variety of music excluding country and rap. We love to go to concerts and enjoy a lot of bands ranging from Modest Mouse, JJ Grey and Mofro, Ratatat, Imogen Heap, The XX, The Postal Service, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, etc.
Movies: Again a wide range. I love movies and binging on terrible/awesome shows on Netflix. I love Wes Anderson, Simon Pegg, and Tarantin movies, Lord of the Rings, as well as chick flicks. Shows include: Doctor Who, Star Trek, Arrested Development, Futurama, Avatar, etc.
Books: Harry Potter, Chuck Palahniuk, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Sharantam, I don't read as much as I should....
