Hi!
I’m Emma originally from China. I grew up in Beijing and moved to Xi’an when I was 8, and then moved to Singapore for study during high school. My 2023 & 2024 are mostly spent in Germany, Munich for study and internship. Now I’m back in Singapore :)

I joke that I travel to find my next “home base”, well it’s not completely a joke because I am looking forward to moving away from Singapore (again) one day, and I don’t have a destination yet.
I travel to different places just to see how’s life there, meet different people, and hear stories. During my visit to each city I learn about what I like and dislike about cities and slowly understand what lifestyle is for me.
I started traveling by myself during Covid time, and soon realized that sightseeing tired me really quickly so now I take my time on my trips.
Growing up, my family moved a lot within China and both of my parents are big fans of road trip, and now I’m really looking forward to having my own car or RV to start driving around maybe Australia or South America soon.

In terms of lifestyle,
I don’t like clubs or crazy parties unless I’m super stressed (normally from school), but I like to grab a drink with friends to talk.
Though growing up in a place that has -18 degrees winter, I’m more used to tropical weather now and love summer much more than winter, but I’d like to see each place at least once during winter( if there is).
I want to see the planet that I’m living on a bit more and I won’t say no to any adventures unless it’s 100% gonna kill me.
I like scuba diving a lot and I always go to this island in Thailand called Koh Tao to dive and see my friends.
I also enjoy “chill” hikes and nature in general.

Also as I know how expensive Singapore is, I want to help travelers and give back all the kindness I’ve received from CS community.

I can cook great northern Chinese cuisine with simple ingredients. If you host me, I would love to show you some Chinese food.
