About Me

CURRENT MISSION

It's always time to achieve your dreams ... all you need is to find the way they can be reached. .

ABOUT ME

I'm a social guy who enjoys life. Hard worker. Sympathetic, likes to chat with people and share thoughts about life, customs and human being. Forever young hearted ...

PHILOSOPHY

First, we belong to a huge country called "earth" so let's start sharing it ...

Second, with faith (or just a positive mind) we can move mountains. So believe in your dreams and make them happen !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several people all my life so many times. This far I have had the opportunity to serve as a guide to tell stories about Trois-Rivieres and talk about our history to my guests. It gave me the opportunity to learn more about my own town. I love it. I'm also the initiator of the Facebook page "CouchSurfing Trois-Rivieres et environs" where people can suggest outgoings and after-hour get together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Awesome experiences this far ... Hosted many times French, German, Belgium, Spanish, USA and Switzerland fellows but also others from other parts of Canada ... I also surfed in USA, France and Switzerland. Planning to surf again very soon. Loved all my experiences this far and I wish there will be many more to come !!!

Interests

I sing in a choir with my daugthers since the past 20 years and I was part of a semi-pro vocal jazz ensemble for 8 years. I just started a new vocal ensemble and I target to play in big festivals in a couple of years. I play guitar and a bit of piano without being a pro in this last field ... I like chats with interesting people, having a beer in nice little pubs and so much more ...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Sci-Fi, drama, suspense, action and comics (I said I'm forever young, no?)

Music: mainly classical, jazz and old rock but I have no problem with almost any other styles but heavy metal ... although some metal pieces are quite nice artworks ...

Books ... I read too many acronyms, serial numbers, MAC addresses and all these technical documents during the day to be able to stand reading anymore in the evening ... Even though I would love to be able to read books again ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not enough achieved as yet ... but still ... First, the birth of my 6 daughters was certainly the most amazing ones. Then, Berlin's wall was very impressive. Amsterdam with its culture way different than here in Quebec. Beautiful Lisbon and Amadora, picking cherries in British Columbia, Victoria BC and its nice port, Denver pubs, The Rex jazz pub in Toronto (amazing place for jazz lovers) or the CN tower, The Eiffel tower in Paris, Koln's cathedral, Metz and its awesome history, traditionnal music in Victoria BC, amazing free museums in Washington DC, paragliding in Switzerland, San Sebastián beach and sightseeings and WONDERFUL, OH HOW WONDERFUL Italy ... And now wonderful Barcelona adding to this list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about electronics / telecommunications / French /English ... I have been a teacher in one of my numerous ex-jobs ...

I'd like to learn more about the structures of Spanish and learn Italian and other new languages ...
