ABOUT ME

Hi all,

I am a researcher in the field pf chemistry and I live in Rennes. I have lived in Scotland for three and a half years, and I liked most of it (The worst point being the -most of the time- terrible weather, but how else would you get such magnificent landscapes). After what I lived in Paris for a bit more than a year before moving to Britanny.
I've discovered Couchsurfing during the 2011 Summer while travelling the US, and I really liked the concept, I met loads of laid-back and open-minded people.

PHILOSOPHY

Open to any kind of culture, I enjoy sharing, exchanging with other open-minded people. I believe that everyone has something good to bring to the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't unfortunately host any couchsurfers at the moment, but I am keen to meet with the other surfers and direct them to the good spots and/or show them the area!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted in LA, with a friend, during summer 2011, by the nicest guy in the world. That's what motivated to be part of this.
Interests

Interests

I like travelling, going out, meet new people.
I'm interested in arts, science, history and cinema. Cooking is another of my hobbies.
I also love sports, I have played rugby for 15 years but I'm keen of accepting new challenges, on any kind of field or pitch.

Music, Movies, and Books

It would be long to give an extensive list, but some of my favorite film directors are: David Lynch, Cédric Klapish, Hayao Miyazaki, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Peter Jackson, Emir Kusturica, Stanley Kubrick, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and many others.
In terms of authors, I like Albert Camus, Voltaire, Sadegh Hedayat, Terry Pratchett, Friedrich Nietzsche, Anton Tchekhov, Franz Kafka...
Finally, I enjoy Reggae, Dancehall, Ska, Drum'n'Bass, Dubstep, Trip-Hop, Groove, but I am keen on trying anything new :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Where to start? I've been travelling a lot through Europe, love the thrill and the energy of London, the calm and poetry in Paris, the laid-backness of Amsterdam, the warmth of Spanish Catalunya

Teach, Learn, Share

I have the particular ability to very easily tame Lobsters, Crabs, and any kind of shellfish, which saved my life more than once.
