Overview
About Me
I'm an open-minded person currently pursuing my Ph.D. in biophysics in Paris. When not in the lab I enjoy having beers, talking to cats and going to concerts and the opera. I love talking and listening to people and learning new stuff. Recent interests include learning arabic, understanding more about economy and figuring out what to do after I graduate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to interact with people and get to know them in places I am travelling to. Although I have had good times staying in hostels, both the topics covered and the spirit encountered did not live up to what I experienced while staying with couchsurfers. In that spirit I hope to be able to host some surfers in my little flat in Paris.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an ecclectic taste in music that is hard to define. Current affinities are spinning around 'classical' music (1950s on), funk/jazz from western Africa and acid house for partying. 90s trash is never bad either I guess.
I love to go to the opera and the concert hall and I am particularly fond of modern stagings that create controversy and make you think on your own.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to work at 8 a.m. sharp once. (It wasn't a pleasant day.)
Hike on the appalachian trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn from people I meet and I think everyone has an interesting story to tell. I personally consider myself an ambassador for both science and music/opera and I love talking about these topics, be it a discussion or just a passionate introduction.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to cook and have a meal. I have never had a boring meal (this one is obviously a lie)! Sharing a relaxed moment without having a clear agenda and seeing where this gets an evening is awesome.
