Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Tibor, an expat who has been living in Copenhagen for the past 9 years. My journey in this vibrant city has shaped me both personally and professionally. With a classical music background, I enjoy a broad spectrum of music from pop to avant-garde, operas to rock concerts, and jazz and blues hold a special place in my heart. I'm passionate about photography, capturing everything from landscapes to street scenes. This summer, I'm embarking on a road trip from Copenhagen to the southern coastline of France.
I believe the best way to experience a place is through the eyes of locals, and Couchsurfing has allowed me to meet incredible people and learn about diverse cultures. I have a wide range of interests, including traveling, nature, and various physical activities like hiking, go-karting, kayaking, paddle tennis, and table soccer.
When staying with hosts, I love being an active guest, sharing photography tips, and cooking Italian, Scandinavian, and American dishes. I'm respectful, open-minded, and always eager to learn and connect. Hosting me means not just providing a place to stay but gaining a friend and having meaningful exchanges.
Looking forward to meeting you and creating unforgettable memories together!

I'm on Couchsurfing because it's a unique platform that offers genuine travel experiences, far removed from typical tourist routes. This community allows me to interact with locals and fellow travelers from various walks of life, offering insights and interactions that are hard to find in hotels or commercial establishments. I'm not just interested in visiting places; I want to immerse myself in their essence and engage with the people who live there.
Couchsurfing enables deep interactions, story sharing, and mutual growth, creating unforgettable memories. I'm enthusiastic about sharing my adventures and heritage, and I believe Couchsurfing promotes an exchange of perspectives that benefits us all and helps build a more understanding, connected world.

I've offset my carbon emissions for the next several decades, aiming to make a positive impact on the environment.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach
My diverse background has equipped me with a unique set of skills that I love to share with others. My experience in photography can help those looking to capture their adventures more creatively, whether it's landscapes, street scenes, or portraits. As a food enthusiast, I can share cooking techniques for Italian, Scandinavian, and American dishes, and offer insights into appreciating and rating restaurants effectively. Additionally, my stint in bartending has given me a solid knowledge of craft beer, and I can offer tips on how to appreciate different brews.
Learn
I'm an open-minded person, always eager to dive into new experiences and gain knowledge from them. Whether it's learning a few phrases in a new language, understanding a different culture, or acquiring a new life skill, I'm all for it. I find great joy in learning from the personal stories and life experiences of those I meet along my journey.
Share
I'm enthusiastic about sharing the myriad stories and experiences l've gathered from my travels and varied life adventures. My insights on photography, the culture of craft beer, and food appreciation can spark interesting conversations. I'm also keen to share my personal journey and the lessons I've learned along the way. For me, conversation is at the heart of my travels, and I'm always ready for a meaningful exchange.
