About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving to climb Everest!!

ABOUT ME

Love traveling, learning and going outdoors. I like simple life, enjoy whatever comes so I can have many stories to tell to my grandsons in the future!!

PHILOSOPHY

"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely, in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting '€œHoly shit, what a ride!'"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed some couches before, and those were awesome experiences that gave me many new experiences, knowledge and friends.
Now, since I have my own place, I can also host surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of the time my trips have not a fixed schedule (or route) so I haven't done CS that much, but when I have done it was great.
I think the best part of travelling is to get to know about the local culture, what a better way than doing it with locals? In Mongolia I stayed for almost one week with a family and it was an amazing experience. In China and Korea I had great experiences too.

Interests

I love learning about... whatever!! History, geography, culture, languages... even conspiracy theories haha The world is so big and so many things are happening out there that I want to know at least a bit about everything.
I like going outdoors for camping, hiking, cycling, running. I like to read and watch movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any kind of music, but specially rock from the 80's and 90's, Latin music and World music. Adventure books like James Bond and Clive Cussler's.
About movies, any kind of movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bullfighting!!! Forget drugs and alcohol: if you want to get high, put yourself into an arena with four bulls running after you!!!
But I think the most amazing experience is to witness the miracle of life. As an emergency medical technician a couple of times I have helped women to give birth, and there are no words to explain the wonderful feeling!! I think the only way to make it better is if the baby is yours.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes, I am Latin American, but please don't ask me to teach you how to dance because I can't, I never learned!! I can teach you Spanish or how to cook Costa Rican food. I was a first aid instructor so I could teach you how to put on a bandaid!!
I like to share travelling (and life) experiences. I have met a lot of interesting people who changed the way I see the world and inspired me forever.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, teach Spanish, share experiences, help with housework... I like to share time, to learn about people. I won't be a ghost, if I stay with you I will try to spend time with you.
