ABOUT ME

I'm a wee little bit of everything~ a free spirit. Family and Friends come first. Honest, spontaneous and an open book. Tell you like I see it and don't mind being corrected when I'm wrong. I do my very best to put myself into others shoes and be understanding, patient and open to every person's beliefs and views on life. Humorous, goofy and easy to talk to. Try hard to keep the peace and maintain a cheerful light-hearted atmosphere when engaging with others but very capable of a more serious and intellectual conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to remain easy going and just go with the flow. Whatever happens happens, deal with it as it comes. Firm believer in Karma and forgiveness. Experience is the greatest knowledge.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Attended several CS gatherings around Europe and met many very cool people. Surfed several times so far but still a fairly limited amount. Haven't hosted many people as of yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Excellent first time CS experience.
~Joined various people from the Toronto and Barrie Groups thanks to Tratham Kovaloff putting together a event that stopped in Barrie for dinner. I unfortunately missed out on the first part of the event but had great conversations with people from around the world from almost every continent!
It intrigued my thirst for travel, meeting new people and learning something about them and their home countries. Regretfully, there wasn't enough time to get to know every person that was there due to time constraints and I'm sure great fatigue from the snowshoeing in -32 degree weather.
Also traveled some of Europe and gathered together for CS meetings and surfed with several people from different countries.
02/2011 Madrid, Spain
~ Attended Madrid weekly meeting at the Museo del Jamon
~ Met up with Kat and Yvonne to attend the Prado Museum
02/2011 ~ Met up with Robert and Kat on a walking tour in Retiro Park and various parts of Madrid
02/2011 ~ Surfed for 2 days with Marc Davies & Charlie Sutherland in London, England.
02/2011 - Hung Out with Joseph Jonathan Martinez for a night out in Rome, Italy.
02/2011 - Surfed with Craig Morrison in Athens, Greece.
02/2011 - Surfed for two days in Paris, France with Magali.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any kind of music with few exceptions but I'll admit I'm a channel surfer.
Like all types of movies but veer more towards the guys flicks, comedies and cartoons mostly. Not much into TV shows anymore though.
Not a huge reader but I have a few favorites that have always stuck in my mind that include

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended College for Television and new Media Productions, which opened up a whole world of interesting jobs and experiences in the Canadian TV industry from commercials to Music Video's.
Worked the cold Alberta winter's on oil rigs in the mountains.
Went on a last minute trip to Jamaica where I swam in the glowing waters of the Blue Lagoon and also ziplined through the canopy of the blue mountain forests
Driven across Canada and through the great Rockies to the eastern and western coasts. Went Skydiving (BEST EXPERIENCE EV~ER)
Met a few Canadian celebrities throughout my experiences like Peter Mansbridge, Shania Twain, The Trews, Big Sugar as well as Ricky Julian and Bubbles from The Trailer Park Boy's... Traveled some of Europe during a once in a lifetime experience with an amazing friend.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I can teach except by trying to be a good person and leading by example, always do the best you can and take any situation in stride. Good at relating to someone more on an emotional and sympathetic level by putting myself in their (or the other person's shoes) and offering advice to help them better understand a situation that they may be confused about or need help in.
