Hey guys,

My name's Tien, I'm a 34 years old french documentary photographer. On April 2017, I went on a trip from Kirghizistam, decided to travel to Vietnam, the country of my roots (I was born in Paris, from two Vietnamese guys). But then, I discovered Kirgyzstan, Kazakhastan, Russia and I liked them too much. For now, i spend my time between those country, meeting people and photographing things. I'm learning Russian (god, what have you done with the russian grammar ?) and improving it is a real goal for me (by improving, I mean just being able to ask for directions).

I'm an easy going guy, who do not need much confort and likes to share beers, stories and pictures.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm not really a tour or museum guy (I actually hate museum). I prefer much more hanging out, take pictures of the daily life, discuss about our different cultures. I'm candidly interested in people and their stories, since it's the core of my job.

Centres d'intérêt

My kindle has something like 100 books on it and I love to read. I love trains. 3 days in train and I'm the happiest guy on earth. I love to cook (on a side note, i'm a terrible cooker, but I do like to cook).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My very first experience on Couchsurfing was back in 2014, in Kenya. A guy accepted to host me and I discovered there, that he was living in the slums of the capital, in which I had no real interest or knowledge. I was on my 2 weeks holidays (I was a lawyer back then). Two months later, I decided to quit my job, take my camera and discover a world I realized I didn't know that well. This was the best decision I ever made (my bank account firmly denied that statement).

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

French is my native langage, I'll be happy to teach you some (yeah i know, very original), I can share photography thoughts or even lessons if you wish to, I can definitly share beers and meals.
I'd love to learn Russian.
