ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student in Barcelona. I've come here following my dreams and I'm still trying to see where my dreams will take me.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to give the control of my life to my emotions all the time. From small things such as my opinion about a song, to more important decisions such as moving to another country, everything in my life is decided by them. I believe the place where someone is born may not be where he/she belongs and the only way to find home is just searching, traveling. The lyrics of a Bjork song (Hunter) which fit here perfectly: "If travel is searching, and home what's been found, i'm not stopping." I'm pulled by my emotions, hopefully towards the place that I can call home. And I feel I'm getting closer to it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After living the CS experience in the summer of 2008, I spread the idea and made many of my friends join CS too. I wrote an article about it for a university magazine, I even presented the idea during a class presentation. I'm always trying to find new ways of promoting the system.I'm also hosting, traveling, attending CS meetings as much as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've started CouchSurfing on our trip to Scandinavia with a friend. After 38 days full of the greatest experiences, I could not consider any other way of travelling. I also hosted/met many people while I was living in Istanbul, including some of the nice people who had hosted me in my previous journeys.

Letting a drug-dealer take me to the metro station at 5:00 a.m. in Los Angeles, living in Hollywood, climbing to the radio tower in our university to see the best view of Istanbul (although I'm afraid of height).

教，学，和分享

I want to improve my Spanish & Catalan. I want to learn about the places that I'm planning to visit (right now Latin America and Iceland). I want to learn how to hitchhike (that is, I want to start doing it together with a more experienced friend).

I can teach many things about computers and the Internet. I can teach how to cook (which is actually quite similar to programming computers). I can be a good guide for Barcelona.

I can share almost anything I have.
