Overview
About Me
I'm a Sydney-sider with a love for the outdoors, vegetarian food and travel. By day I'm a commercial lawyer, by night I run my own start-up and venture around the city finding new eats, listening to live gigs and planning my next travel adventures.
I'm travelling with my super-talented girlfriend, Olivia. Like me she has a real zest for life and absolutely loves the outdoors (hiking, camping, paddle-boarding, sailing). She resides on an island just outside of Sydney and has to take a boat to work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although I'm a newbie to couchsurfing, I'm using it meet some awesome locals on my travels with my girlfriend, Olivia, as we venture around the Americas over the next seven months. We both thrive on meeting interesting people and understanding the world from different and unique perspectives.
When I return to my little terrace in Sydney, I'm super keen to return the favour and host fellow couchsurfers and show them what it's like to live in the best city in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in cinema is eclectic; think anything Tarantino, Wes Anderson or Coen Brothers. Top that off with some quality thrillers like The Usual Suspects (early Kevin Spacey).
As for music, I listen to everything - indie rock, electronic, house and r&b. My biggest musical regret is not seeing LCD Soundsystem live. My highlights are seeing Bon Iver at an intimate gig in Paris and having a friend who claims he is a very popular Soundcloud DJ.
When I'm not mired in reading law textbooks/legislation for my day job, I like to read fiction, history and popular economics books. A few of my faves; The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, the Freakonomics series, and Richard J. Evans, the Coming of the Third Reich.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Being part of an Australian Youth Delegation to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.
- Belting out the Australian national anthem on the Champs-Élysées in Paris to celebrate the victory of Cadel Evans, the first ever Australian winner of the Tour De France (yes, I'm sports nut).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter. If I can't share a laugh and/or good time with you, I've failed as a guest. I can also teach you how to cook amazing vegetarian food, how to successfully defend yourself in Court, how to talk Aussie slang, how to appreciate loose leaf tea, how to start your own business.
Olivia can share with you horrific stories of the modelling industry, how to buy a boat, what it's like to live on boat for 12 months, why 'active wear' is such a craze in Australia, what trashy shows are on Netflix, why Melbourne is a superior Australian city to Sydney.
