Taking chances, moving & shaking, following my feet where ever they lead me. Recently relocated to Golden, CO on a whim with my Aussie partner. Fingers crossed that soon I'll find a 'real' job that makes me happy. In the mean time, just living outside of the box and dreaming big.

So far I've only surfed (a lot), but now that I have an address, I'm keen to pay back the goodwill and host some fellow free spirits & go-getters

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From Sept. 2011 til Dec. 2013 I was a nomad, traveling mainly through Australia (CSing down the east coast with my friend Casey) and New Zealand (CSing around the country with my partner Alex). I also surfed solo in NZ when I was traveling on my own. All rad experiences.

Interests

Writing, photography, traveling (obviously), reptiles, running, hiking, snow-boarding, reading, wheat beer, sunsets & the golden hours, snail mail and postcards.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love to read, especially autobiographies and non-fiction. As for music, almost anything goes, but my Pandora playlists usually start with alt-j or Phantogram and my iPod plays Black Keys & Rolling Stones on repeat. Movies ... I'll give 'em a go as long as they aren't scary or about high school parties or college roadtrips ... yikes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

28 months traveling through Indonesia, Australia & New Zealand without a plan. Nothin' but one-way tickets & open roads.

Most recent spontaneous road trip from Golden to San Diego in two weeks. Telluride ride, Arches, Zion, Grand Canyon, White Sands & a lot of sleeping in the car.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love taking photos with my CanonT1i. If you do something cool - dancing, painting, kick-boxing - WHATEVER - I'd be happy to snap some awesome photos of/for you or even share some tips & tricks behind the lens - though I'm still learning as I go.
