About Me
Hello I am Tiffany:)
In the middle of 2015 I had an epiphany that I just HAD to travel and not in my usual style of being a tourist only staying in hotels and seeing only the tourist sites. But rather this time backpacking around the world, volunteering, immersing myself in communities and really living like the locals to expand my perspective and knowledge about the world and also myself.
I have always had the travel bug, however, after finishing my degree in Tourism Management I have worked not only casual/part-time jobs but also worked full time for 9 years. I have experience in hospitality, child care, administration, customer services, event management, relationship management, reservations, hotel front desk, social media/blogger, photographer, and also vegan recipe creator/cook.
I have a deep passion for the use of complementary medicines and believe in the quote "Let Food by thy medicine and medicine be thy food" - Hippocrates.
I believe in being the master of your mind and have just completed a 10 Day Course at Vipassana Meditation Centre in Blackheath, Sydney.
I have completed my 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training in India in March 2016, 1 month beginner Ayurvedic medicine and massage course in India in April 2016, and have CPR/First Aid Training. I am also a qualified TEFL teacher.
I also love to blog as well and you can find me at www.nourishedbytiffany.com.
I am a bit of a jack of all trades in a sense and love the flexibility and adaptability that it has brought to me in my own personality.
I love meeting new people and going all different adventures especially the active type such as hiking, running marathons, sky diving, water sports, etc.
I look forward to meeting you:)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and exploring new places. I find that the best way to understand a different culture and environment is through meeting the locals instead of relying purely on the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In May 2015 at Byron Bay, during my first solo trip ever in my life I decided to back pack for a week to get a taste to determine if I would be interested in this travelling style.
Turns out this was a monumental point in my life that opened my eyes to a new way to travel, new experiences, and most importantly changed my perspective on my life and my perspective.
During this trip I made the life changing decision that I would resign from my full time job as an Industry Advisor to TRAVEL THE WORLD BACKPACKER STYLE SOLO!
On the 1st February 2016 I left Sydney to embark on this adventure to see where it takes me.
From the 11th to 22nd January I also completed a 10 Day Silent Retreat at Vipassana Meditation Centre. One of the most challenging, yet rewarding experiences of my life:)
Walked the Camino De Frances, Camino De Fisterra and Camino de Portuguese in 38 days in June/July 2016
