Overview
About Me
As with most of those on here, I have an innate love of travel. I grew up going between Colville, Washington and Ketchikan, Alaska, but I currently living in Galway, Ireland on a working holiday authorization. While I'm based in Galway, I hope to travel throughout the rest of Ireland and as much of Europe as possible.
I have a 3 year old Australian shepherd (Leilani) who will be joining me on the majority of my travels! She did fly all the way from the U.S. after all, so she deserves some adventure as well! :) Leilani loves people and other animals, is very well trained, and will be happy to do party tricks for anyone who wants to watch! Just like me, she loves hiking, beach time, and making friends in local dog-friendly bars and pubs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing primarily to meet people in the areas I visit. I used to stay primarily in hostels while traveling which allowed me to meet people from all over, but now that I have a creature in tow, hostels aren't often an option and I feel like the opportunity to meet new people has diminished. Hopefully this will provide new opportunities to meet people and experience various cultures along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually I have a book on me at all times. I love to read fantasy, historical, and books that really make me think. I'm a big Potter Head! Ha
I'll watch pretty much any movie. I'm not always a fan of horror movies though unless I'm really in the mood for one.
I primarily listen to country, pop, and R&B, but honestly like pretty much any music besides metal (just not my thing).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hm... I guess my question is what defines amazing?
I have bottle fed a spider monkey, swam in the ocean off of Cuba, fished for king salmon in southeast Alaska, watched a humpback whale bubble feed 10 feet away, and traveled internationally with my dog.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to work with animals and believe my truest talent is the bond I have with dogs (so if you want any tips I would be happy to help!). I also have a lot of knowledge about different animal species and their ecosystems.
I have recently gotten into photography and would be happy to share what I know with beginners or to learn more from others who are more experienced than myself. I also like to draw and paint on occasion but rarely seem to find the time for this hobby.
I have a passion for learning about the world around me (animals, culture, history). Honestly, I believe the greatest knowledge shared is that which comes naturally in conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I can share good conversation and laughs, honestly the biggest benefit for any host will be love from my pup! I promise, you'll love her as much as I do. ;)
