Overview
About Me
I am a graphic designer and a weekend artist. I stay in a peaceful colony in South Delhi with my husband and mother. Rohit, my husband, is also a designer.
We met in college, travelled obsessively, spent savings, started a company, made money and travelled. For now, we are working to be better designers and humans.
We love the mountains, don't enjoy crowds. Beaches are okay, only when there are no more than 5 other people on it.
We have been running our small illustration and design studio (www.tiffinbox.in) for the past 10 years. We work from home. We often foster homeless pups and are mostly planning the next trek/trip.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Both of us are introverts and feel out of our depths when we have to interact with other 'people'. We want to kind of change that, but slowly.
My sister, Padmaparna has been a member of CS since long. With her, we have hosted, met, hung out, travelled with and stayed with quite a few other travellers. Having enjoyed the process in what it takes from us and offers, we want to take it up too.
We want to travel the world, which we know may not be entirely possible, so till that happens we want the world to come to us :)
Interests
Travel, mostly to the mountains. Animals are a very close second. I volunteer towards rescue efforts of Indian street dogs that are often ill-treated in our country.
Other interests: Trekking. Tea. Animals. Crafts. Photography. Food. Camping. Nature. Miniature things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly Hindi Movie songs (old and new)
Books : https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/16525790-sriparna-ghosh
I love reading, the goodreads profile is in a very nascent stage. I can read anything but mostly enjoy Non-fiction, Adventure, Travel, Psychology and Philosophy. For a break I dig into Fiction. Love short stories, well-researched articles (fiction/non-fiction)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fostered over 18 pups and kittens (and counting).
Rehomed two pups from India to the US who now live royal lives.
Saved and brought up two orphaned Squirrels.
Walked for 19 days over 3 Himalayan passes (want to stretch that number to 60 days)
Highest in the Himalayas we have walked up to: 5,416 meters (Thorong La in the Nepal Himalayas)
Previous highest and 10 times tougher was: 5200 meters (Pin Parvati Pass in Himachal Pradesh)
Teach, Learn, Share
Not a good teacher. Compulsive Learner. Mostly a sharer, not always though.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A very quiet presence with minimal intrusion and 100% adherence to house rules
Something from India (tea, a hand made miniature...?)
