HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started, but i look forward to helping people out, and traveling around the world more, as the first time i traveled it was with my ex and kids was for work, which was fun and easy, but i would like to see the the hole world.

I saw The Constant Gardener recently and it got me thinking about things. Good movies just seem to be hard to find but they always cross my path through the people I meet. Caótica Ana is a wonderful trip, if you haven't seen it yet. I fall in love with Across the Universe every time I see it. The Dude is the one and only Lebowski. I enjoy good documentaries, like Louis Theroux's work and the ones by Eugene Jarecki. On a more entertaining level there is Bill Maher's Religulous and even further down the steps of seriousness of course Sasha Cohen's piss taking.

I'm also quite into series these days and I've recently finished watching Dexter s3, and got hooked on Breaking Bad. I'm a slow reader but I'm trying to read all of Arnon Grunberg's books these days as I find him in possession of a sardonic way to describe the world in which I recognise some of myself.

Pictures work better than words with me most of the time so if you have some photography books or magazines with you that you find too heavy to carry onwards on your travels you can just leave them with me :) I have a HD video projector at home that I watch all my moving imagery on, so come join me in my home theater if you feel like lazing away on the couch with some visual inspiration instead of just sleeping on it.

Oh, and then there's music. MGMT, The Weepies, Air, Beatles, Imogen Heap, Beck, The Real Tuesday Weld, Bajofondo Tango Club, Nouvelle Vague, Telepopmusik, R.E.M., Snow Patrol, oh, just about everything except what my parents like ;-)
