I was raised in a small farming community in California, surrounded by tall mountains (Sierra Nevadas) and filled with rivers and a lake. I've always loved the outdoors. I especially enjoy whitewater boating (rafting, kayaking) and climbing. My wife and I (and of course our children) continue to enjoy nature whenever we can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly read history and science books, and travel guides (all nonfiction). However, I've recently begun to rekindle an interest in some fiction, especially classic and/or Spanish literature.
