ABOUT ME

Who am I? This is a hard question to answer. I believe that we "see" and/or think of ourselves differently than how others perceive us. If you want to know me, meet me, ask me questions and I'm more than willing to answer. But for starts, here's a summary:

I find myself to be quiet (when first meeting new people), but as time goes on, I warm up and become quite talkative. I care about my friends, those that I've known my entire life or those that I've just met.

I am a lover of many things : making new friends and learning who they are; traveling and exploring each new place, getting lost and seeing what others miss. Photography is my passion and wherever my travels take me, I have my camera ready to shoot hundreds, even thousands of photos. Photography for me is not just for myself, it's a way to capture a moment in time and share it with others, a moment they may never be able to experience otherwise. I enjoy playing the piano, especially when I am stressed or when I need some time alone. I love languages and I would love to learn Italian and Portuguese!

I am an open-minded adventure-seeker and lover of all things random, fun, and exciting! We only live for so long and the best way to live is by the experiences we have. I want to travel around, explore, learn and meet new people. I want to try new things!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't live for myself, but for others. Making people smile, laugh and happy is what I want to do every day.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I only recently completed my first Couchsurfing stay, and it was an awesome experience that shows me hospital and kind strangers do exist! I hope to be as an amazing host as I had, and make many a good memory by opening up my home to travelers in need.

兴趣

Making new friends, getting to know my new friends, spending time with friends and anything really to do with people is what I'm all about. Photography is my passion. With my camera in hand and friends to have fun with, I am a happy person.

音乐、电影和书籍

I enjoy pretty much any genre of movies (except horror) and music (except rap, country and heavy metal rock). I don't read a lot, but I recently finished The Hunger Games trilogy.

The moment I realized I was actually in France to study French for a year... This is one of the most amazing opportunities that I've ever had. This has led to the awesome trips around Europe that wouldn't be possible at this time in my life (ie I would have to have waited longer to do this).

I enjoy sharing what knowledge I have, talking about my experiences traveling and walking through life. But above all, I don't seek just a place to sleep, I want to truly listen and learn about my host(s) and their culture, to create a true connection that will leave a lasting impression.
