ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Nina. I live in Neuseeland and am free to explore the world during our winter. Which means that my couch is mostly available to you in the months of October to April.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through CS I have met the most interesting, amazing people, from different cultures, ages and with ideas I wouldn't have had a chance to think about otherwise.

Interests

travel - obviously. people, languages and cultures.
I love to learn.
dance - tango in particular, also salsa or any other dance.
plants, herbs, tramping, cycling, winemaking, meditation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through a Rhododendron forest at high altitude in Yunnan.
Chinchillas peacefully playing in Machu Picchu at sundown.
An avalanche of motorbikes flowing around me in Hanoi.
Stroking a tiger in Chiang Mai.
Making friends in a village coffee shop in Sumatra.
Relaxing by the tent below a French castle on a cycle trip with my daughter and some strange animals come from the lake to investigate us.
Seeing angel-wings tracing in the phosphorescence of the clear sea water while swimming with a friend at night at Kei Islands, Indonesia.
Does the birth of my children count?
Or, simply, two days ago: standing on top of a mountain after the climb - clear sky, bright colours, the feeling of serenity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn. and I love to teach. There's something to share in most CS encounters.
I'm not very musical. But if you read my interests above, you may get an idea of what kind of inspiration I can offer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thank you very much for a lovely season of Couchsurfers through my house.
Lots of laughter, music, walks, pizza and evening fires, impromptu parties and fascinating conversations. Oh, and my garden looks a treat!
I cannot take anyone else now.
See you again next summer.
